Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)

Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) is a technology that utilizes the process of air bubble floatation to remove suspended solids, oils and other contaminants in wastewater. The process is carried out by dissolving air into the water by the use of compressors or instrument air. The air forms tiny bubbles that attach itself to the suspended pollutants and float to the water surface, where it is mechanically removed using a skimmer.
